Our client, based in Duncan BC is looking for warm and friendly kitchen staff, Cooks, Chef & Sous Chef for their full-day serving restaurant. Your shifts will be varied based on the requirements of the day, so must be available on the weekends as well.
Job Role
- Handles and prepares all food orders according to the established recipes, menu and schedule
- Preparing and plating dishes and determine size of food portions
- Maintains sanitary conditions and practices safe food handling techniques.
- Monitors temperature of coolers, freezers and prepared food
- Performs cleaning and other assigned duties as requested by the Supervisor
- Receives and inspects deliveries of food and supplies and escalating any discrepancy or irregularities.
- Undertakes any other related duties as assigned
Essential Experience
- Culinary or relevant degree/diploma
- Relevant 1-2 years of experience of working in restaurant as Cook or Kitchen Staff
- Basic computational skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements and portion sizes
- Ability to delegate and work under pressure
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to lift 50 lbs to move around the kitchen are

- Must be flexible to work any shifts - day, evening, night or weekends
